Kaliningrad Affiliate of PeterStar Arranging VPN Network for Social Insurance Fund for Kaliningrad Oblast

ZAO PeterStar – a leader of the market of telecommunication services in the Northwest Region, being part of the Synterra Group of Companies – will provide communication services to the Regional Division of the Social Insurance Fund for Kaliningrad Oblast using the IP-VPN technology.

Using a VPN network the carrier will combine 17 regional subdivisions of the Fund located in the Kaliningrad Oblast with the central office in Kaliningrad. Furthermore PeterStar will furnish Internet access services to the central office of the Regional Division of the Fund.

The total price of the won budgetary contract on the service provision during 2010 exceeded RUR2m.

Dealing with state structures is traditionally one of the priority lines of development of the Synterra Group. In 2009 the share of services rendered to state structures exceeded 28% of the Group’s revenue structure. Remember that the PeterStar affiliate in Kaliningrad was open in 2005. The subdivision renders digital cable TV, telephony, data and Internet access services to regional telecom carriers, commercial and budgetary structures and private users.
